Tinctures, or alcohol extracts, are a popular and convenient way to consume herbs as medicine. They are used to address a variety of ailments, especially acute conditions that require immediate attention and ease of use.

This class will demystify tincture making, which is surprisingly simple and straight-forward. It will also explore the history, uses, advantages and disadvantages of liquid extracts and various forms of preparation. Each participant will make a 4oz tincture to take home.

Join us in this hands-on, foundational herbalist series incorporating practical medicine-making skills as well as exploring an in depth overview of working with plant medicine to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle. These classes will inspire budding and blossoming herbalists alike to get their head, heart and hands into plants as medicine, to start creating their own apothecary at home.
