When does the moving sale start?
The sale starts Monday 1/6/25 since it is officially the last full week that the shop is open. The sale is only available to in person customers.
What will and won’t be restocked before January 11th?
There will be no restocking or reordering before January 11th.
When will bulk herbs be restocked? Will they be available at relaunch?
Bulk herbs will be restocked and available at relaunch. In order to complete this transition, we will have to pack up all inventory and store it while we deconstruct and reconstruct shelving, outfit space, place and receive restocking orders, update website, etc.
Why are so many herbs out of stock? Is it possible to get special orders in?
Unfortunately, due to the financial, logistical and staffing constraints of the move, we cannot continue to make orders and restock. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
What items will still be available, and which ones are getting let go?
For the time being, most of the products customers know and recognize will be continued while we run the new business model and test its viability. Items we intend to keep include the following: Bulk herbs (and products) and tinctures will still be the “bulk” of our offerings at launch including house blends, which will be expanded, as well as essential oils. In the next phase, we especially want to highlight offerings from local herbalists, producers and artisans. We will continue to offer books and card decks though with a more curated (and limited) selection. If there are products you want us to keep offering, please you can let us know via any one of our online platforms and future surveys.
Will there be a final blowout sale on January 11th?
There is no special blowout sale planned, and we are trying to avoid having a big surge of customers on the final day for the staff's sake. Customers are encouraged to get what they need throughout the week and not hold out for a deeper discount on the last day(s).
How will the new model work, and when will it launch?
The new model will begin strictly as an online store with shipping and a curbside pickup option for locals. Customers can pick up orders during “visitation hours” that we will publish on all of our online platforms. Curbside pickup will be available at least 2 days a week; for example, Monday and Thursday from 11 am - 4 pm. The relaunch will happen sometime in mid-late February. Customers are encouraged to sign up for our newsletter, and check our website and social media for the most up-to-date information.
How will formula requests and refills (tinctures and bulk herbs) be handled?
We are currently trying to figure out how to make ordering refills and formulas work through our online store. Ideally, this will be an intuitive part of the check out process, based on information we will provide on the website. If we can’t set up it up completely by the time of relaunch, customers will be instructed to purchase the size of tincture they would like as a single extract and call or send a follow up email with formula ingredients. Refills are a little trickier in this model but we are brainstorming solutions. Custom tea blends may not be available through the website in the immediate relaunch.
Will there still be opportunities to speak with an herbalist?
Great question! We plan to offer short appointments/mini-consultations in 2.0 that people can book through our website or by calling the shop but that may not happen at the time of relaunch. This new model is experimental, so it is hard to predict all the offerings and possibilities before it exists. In the meantime, we can make referrals to local practicing herbalists.
Will the phone number remain the same?
Yes. We will maintain the same phone number 504-488-4425 at the new location.
How will curbside pickup work, and how often will pickup days be scheduled?
We will establish at least two in-person pick up days per week with plans to offer after hours pick-up lockers for those that can’t make the visitation windows.
We will utilize a similar process like what is currently set up on our website for in-store pickup.

Is there anything special/commemorative planned on January 11th, the final day?
We are setting up a commemorative table in the shop for patrons to share blessings, memories, make small offerings, etc
